Mimo Ousseimi
Founder

Mr. Ousseimi has over 30 years of private equity, venture capital, investment banking, and asset management experience. He is Chairman of Gefinor SA, a publicly listed investment company, active in real estate and private equity. He is also a Board Director of Knoa Software, a New York based growth stage software company. Mr. Ousseimi was previously with Merrill Lynch and State Street Research and Management Company. He holds an MBA from UCLA and a BA from UC Berkeley.
 

Reza Akhavan
Founder
Mr. Akhavan has over 29 years of experience in Alternative Asset Management and Capital Markets. Prior to cofounding Gefinor Capital he was a Partner at Cheyne Capital and before that was an Executive Director of Credit Suisse and DLJ. He graduated from UC Berkeley and started his career at Morgan Stanley. He is based in Europe.
William Beckett
Partner – Private Equity (New York)

Mr. Beckett has over 30 years of professional experience in corporate finance, private equity and venture capital. He has also developed direct operating experience serving as Chief Executive Officer of a Gefinor portfolio company. Prior to joining Gefinor Group's U.S. private equity subsidiary, Mr. Beckett worked at Merrill Lynch & Co. in the firm's investment banking division. His experience spans corporate finance advisory work to Fortune 1000 industrial companies and middle market manufacturing companies, as well as investments in leveraged buyouts and early stage technology start-ups.

Mr. Beckett received his MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and graduated from Williams College with a BA in Economics.

Chris Davis
Partner – Private Equity (New York)

Mr. Davis has over 20 years of professional experience in the investment banking, private equity and venture capital industries. He began his career as a systems analyst in the Zurich and Singapore offices of Credit Suisse First Boston working on the development, implementation and maintenance of global accounting, credit risk management and trade settlement information systems. Mr. Davis then transitioned into a financial advisory roll serving in the High Yield Origination Group of TD Securities’ New York office where he worked on various leveraged finance transactions in the energy, auto parts, media and paper sectors. Since March 2003, Mr. Davis has been investing in innovative technology companies through the venture capital and private equity operations of the Gefinor Group.

Mr. Davis received his MBA in the Financial Engineering track of the Sloan School of Management at M.I.T. and Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Information Systems from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. He currently serves as a board member of Anokiwave, SciAps and SocialFlow and is a board observer of PeerNova, Calient, Rheonix and Knoa. Prior to exit, Mr. Davis was a board observer of BinOptics and GridApp.

Adel Azmeh
Partner - Wealth Management (Geneva)
Mr. Azmeh has over 26 years of investment experience.  Prior to forming Gefinor Capital SA, he joined Lloyds Bank in 1989 where he held jobs as a financial analyst and was fund manager of both equity and bond funds.  From 2006 till 2013 he was Head of Research and Asset Management at the Private Bank.  He set up a more disciplined approach to discretionary portfolios by implementing risk profiles linked to strategic asset allocations.  In his last role he managed a team of 15 analysts and portfolio managers for a total of CHF 3 billion of client assets.  Adel has a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Geneva and a CFA.
Cliff Marr
Partner - Wealth Management (Geneva)
Mr. Marr has over 30 years of investment experience.  Prior to forming Gefinor Capital SA, he joined Lloyds Bank in 1986 as a qualified accountant.  Built a company to fund export finance loans in the securities markets with HM Treasury. Managed teams responsible for the accounting and market risk of innovative treasury products. Moved to Lloyds Geneva in 1991 to trade derivatives, then was promoted to manage the dealing room with a focus on proprietary trading and developed high net worth client advisory.  Since 2005 he was also responsible for fund and discretionary asset management  and product engineering for the international wealth management business.  Managed 80 investment staff in Geneva, New York, Jersey, London and Dubai with client assets of CHF 7 billion.  Cliff has a BA in Business Administration from University of West England and a ACMA.
Robert Porell
Chief Financial Officer (New York)

Mr. Porell has over 30 years of accounting and financial management experience. He joined Gefinor Group's U.S.private equity subsidiary in 1995 and headed the financial and operational turnaround of Alexander Doll Company, Inc. as CFO and CEO. Prior to joining Gefinor, he served as Manager in the Business Assurance practice of Coopers & Lybrand, advising both large multinational and middle market clients, predominately in manufacturing industries.

He is a Certified Public Accountant, received his M.S. in Accounting from New York University, and graduated from Harvard College with a BA in Economics.

Andre Bernath
Chief Financial Officer (Geneva)
Mr. Bernath has over 27 years of experience as CFO in managing finance operations and in corporate finance services. Mr. Bernath joined the Geneva office of the Gefinor Group in 2003. Prior to Gefinor he spent his professional career as CFO in Zurich at Holcim SA, a Swiss leading industrial group, and as CFO in subsidiaries in Russia and in Argentina of an international commodity trading company.

Mr. Bernath, graduated from the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland with a degree in Business and graduated from the University of Geneva, Switzerland with a degree in Administration.
